Fiberglass Pool Resurfacing & Repair in Texas

Fiberglass Pool Rx serves Texas on scheduled routes through DFW, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and the corridors between. Free photo-based estimates within one business day, factory-grade marine gel coat, and a written warranty on every job.

Texas has more residential pools than almost any state in the country, and Texas conditions are brutal on fiberglass surfaces. We restore them with spray-applied marine gel coat, the same material the factory used, never epoxy paint. Send photos, get a straight answer and a real number within one business day.

What Texas Does to a Fiberglass Pool

Start with the sun. A pool in Dallas or Austin sees some of the highest UV exposure in our 16-state network, over a swim season that can stretch nine months. That's why Texas is where we see the fastest color fade and the earliest chalking, gel coat that would last decades in a milder climate oxidizes years ahead of schedule, especially on shallow tanning ledges and steps where the water magnifies exposure.

Then there's the ground. Much of Texas, DFW and the Blackland Prairie especially, sits on expansive clay that swells when it rains and shrinks hard in drought. That seasonal ground movement flexes fiberglass shells and shows up as spider cracking, misaligned coping, and in dry years, voids behind the shell. Houston and the Gulf Coast trade that problem for a high water table pressing on the shell from outside, blister country, and the reason draining a pool there without dewatering can float it right out of the ground.

Finally, the water itself. Most of Texas runs hard, high-calcium fill water. Owners fighting scale often over-correct with acid, and aggressive water etches gel coat rough. If your surface feels like sandpaper, that's usually chemistry damage, not age.

The Prescription Texas pools need a surface built for the conditions: UV-stable, factory-grade gel coat sprayed over a properly repaired shell, plus water chemistry that respects the new finish. Done right, it's a 15-25 year fix, not a repaint every third summer.

Texas Cities We Serve

Texas is big; our routes are built around the Triangle. Anchors include:

  • Dallas-Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, Arlington, and the whole Metroplex; expansive-clay crack country
  • Houston, Katy, The Woodlands, Sugar Land; high-water-table and blister repairs
  • Austin & Round Rock, heavy UV, hard Hill Country water
  • San Antonio & New Braunfels, served on south-Texas legs
  • Waco & Temple, I-35 corridor stops between DFW and Austin
  • Tyler & Longview, east Texas runs, often paired with Louisiana and Arkansas routes
  • College Station, covered between Houston and Austin legs

How Route Scheduling Works in Texas

Texas routes fill fastest in our network, the pool count is enormous and the season is long. The process is the same everywhere: send photos, get a diagnosis and real number within a business day, and book onto the next Texas route with a confirmed arrival window in writing. The crew stays until the job is cured, filled, and warrantied. If your pool is limping through summer, ask about fall dates, the finish cures over the short off-season and you open in March with a brand-new surface.

Straight Answers

Texas fiberglass pool questions

Do you really cover a state as big as Texas?

Yes, our Texas routes run the Triangle (DFW, Houston, San Antonio/Austin) plus the I-35 and I-20 corridors, with east Texas covered on Louisiana/Arkansas legs. If you're between anchors, you're still on the map: send photos and we'll tell you exactly when a route passes near you.

Why is my Texas pool cracking when it's not even old?

Expansive clay. Large parts of Texas sit on soil that swells and shrinks dramatically between wet and dry seasons, flexing the shell. The fix is grinding and re-laminating the cracks, and addressing any voids behind the shell, before recoating. Caulk-style patches over moving cracks always fail.

How much does fiberglass pool resurfacing cost in Texas?

Most full residential restorations land in the five-figure range depending on size, damage, and access; single repairs run much less. See the resurfacing cost guide, or send photos for a real number within one business day, free.

Can you work around Houston's high water table?

Yes, it's routine for us. We assess groundwater before draining, dewater and brace as needed, and never leave a shell exposed to float risk. It's a big part of why fiberglass pool work near the Gulf isn't a DIY or general-contractor job.

Ready for your pool's prescription?

Send photos of your pool and a fiberglass specialist, not a salesperson, will call you within one business day with a diagnosis and a real number.
