Before & After: Fiberglass Pool Restoration Gallery
Chalked, blistered, cracked, and stained pools, and what factory-grade gel coat restoration delivers. Every project here was sprayed, not painted, and left with a written warranty.
A before-and-after photo is the fastest honest answer to "can my pool really be saved?" Almost always, yes, and these photos from recent projects show what the cure actually looks like on real pools across our 16-state service area.
What to look for in pool before & after photos
Any contractor can make a wet, freshly filled pool look shiny for one photo. Here's how to read a before-and-after like a specialist:
- Look at the waterline and steps. That's where chalking, fading, and wear show first, and where cheap paint jobs fail first. A real gel coat restoration is as glossy at the waterline as it is on the floor.
- Find the old problem areas. If the "before" shows blisters or spider cracks, the "after" should show no ghosting, patch outlines, or texture change where they were. Proper repair means grinding and re-laminating, not skimming filler over the top.
- Check the sheen, not just the color. Sprayed marine gel coat has a deep, uniform, factory gloss. Rolled epoxy paint looks flat and slightly textured, you can tell in photos once you know to look.
- Ask when the photo was taken. The photo that matters isn't fill day, it's two or three summers later. Gel coat keeps its gloss for 15-25 years; paint chalks out in 2-4. Our reviews are full of "still looks new" follow-ups for exactly that reason.
Every project below followed the same 5-step treatment plan: diagnosis, safe drain and inspection, structural repair and prep, spray-applied gel coat, then cure, fill, and warranty. If your pool looks like any of these "befores," a gel coat resurfacing can make it the "after", start with a Free Pool Checkup and we'll tell you exactly what it needs.
